AID Upstate has been conducting outreach and HIV/STD education for over 10 years. AID Upstate empowers people living with HIV and encourages active community responses through advocacy, direct services, awareness and prevention. HIV prevention and care are difficult in rural areas due to stigma, discrimination and other factors, but ingenuity and removing barriers are strong points for the AU staff.
AIDS Partnership of Michigan (Detroit, MI)
AIDS Partnership Michigan (APM), a nonprofit organization, provides a full range of HIV care and prevention services to persons affected and infected with HIV/AIDS. Established in 1983 as Wellness Networks, Inc., APM is the oldest AIDS multi-service organization in Michigan.
AIDS Project of the East Bay (Oakland, CA)
APEB is dedicated to preventing the spread of HIV and supporting individuals infected with the virus through programs targeted at some of the most vulnerable and marginalized individuals in Alameda County. APEB ensures that individuals and communities beyond the reach of other agencies receive professional services of the highest standard.
Bronx Community Pride Center (Bronx, NY)
Bronx Community Pride Center is the only exclusive service-oriented agency committed to the LGBT adults and youth in the Bronx. Since 1996, BCPC has remained committed to nurturing and empowering member of their community to enjoy and realize their full potential.
Brothers Health Collective (Chicago, IL)
BHC is a peer-led provider focusing on health illiteracy, treatment illiteracy and barriers to health care services. Special emphasis is placed on stigma and promoting doctor-friendly communication messages to target population to demystify care services.

CARE Resource is South Florida's oldest and largest HIV/AIDS service organization. Through education, prevention, research, care and treatment and support services, CARE Resource improves upon the health and overall quality of life of their diverse South Florida communities in need.
Friends for Life (Memphis, TN)
Friends For Life Corporation is the oldest and most comprehensive AIDS service organization in the Mid-South, having been established in 1985. The mission of Friends for Life is to help persons affected by HIV/AIDS live well. The agency's sole purpose is to provide HIV prevention, housing and supportive services to persons at risk of infection and those who are affected/infected by the disease.
Gay Men of African Descent - GMAD (Brooklyn, NY)
GMAD was created by and for Black gay men in 1986 and is the nation's oldest organization dedicated to addressing the diverse needs of Black gay men. From its volunteer-led beginnings, GMAD has evolved into the leading indigenous provider of HIV prevention and psychosocial services to Black gay men in NYC.
Golden Rule Services (Sacramento, CA)
Founded in 2000, Golden Rule Services is a community-based organization. Their mission is to reduce disparities in health, education, employment and criminal justice within People of Color communities through the provision of culturally competent programs and resources.
International Federation of Black Prides (Washington, DC)
IFBP is a coalition of Black Prides organizers formed in 1999 to promote a multinational network of LGBT Black Prides and community-based organizations. They are dedicated to fostering grassroots organizing around issues affecting the Black LGBT community and as well as promoting community health and wellness and ensuring the development of education, economic empowerment and individual and collective self-determination.
Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network - JASMYN (Jacksonville, FL)
JASMYN was started by and for teens as a support group for GLBT youth in one of the most conservative regions of Florida. Since incorporating in 1994, JASMYN builds support and empowers gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (GLBT) by creating safe space, providing youth development services, and bringing people and resources together that promote diversity and human rights.

Founded in 1979, it is also the oldest AIDS service organization in Pennsylvania. They provide quality comprehensive health and wellness services, while preserving the dignity and improving the quality of life of the individuals they serve.

Established in 1988, Metro Teen AIDS (MTA) is a community health organization dedicated to supporting young people in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Washington DC. Through education, support, and advocacy, MTA works to prevent the spread of HIV; promote responsible decision-making; and improve the quality of life for young people infected with, affected by, and at high risk for HIV/AIDS.
My Brothaz Home (Savannah, GA)
The mission of My Brothaz Home is to reduce the number of new infections among men and their partners by providing culturally sensitive HIV prevention education and supportive services regardless of sexual orientation.
Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry (Falls Church, VA)
NOVAM is in its 23rd year and provides HIV education and services throughout the Northern Virginia region. Their mission is to educate the community about HIV/AIDS, combat the fear, prejudice, and complacency that surround the disease, and provide direct services to meet the needs of those who are living with HIV/AIDS.
Same Gender Loving Brotherhood-Inland Empire (Moreno Valley, CA)
Same Gender Loving Brotherhood (SGLB) is a community-based organization whose mission is to address the disproportionate impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the African American SGLB/MSM community and preventing HIV/AIDS as an urgent health care issue, by addressing racism, homophobia and economic disparities in San Bernardino & Riverside County, California.
What is the Black Adolescent MSM Initiative?
The Black Adolescent MSM Initiative was a call for proposals focused on providing local community-based organizations with contributions to strengthen outreach & prevention education, linkage to care and treatment education for at risk or newly diagnosed black adolescent MSM.
